The For Sale by Owner web site came about from an idea that it has to be easier
and cheaper to sell your own house. In the UK we all have become very reliant on
Estate Agents to sell our houses for us and to be honest how many of you have felt
that the work they do does not justify the costs they charge. I am not saying estate
agents are bad people but I feel I have never got my money's worth when I have used
them.
So I thought why not set up a web site, I know its not the first, so that we can
sell our own houses and all we pay for is a small monthly cost while the house is
up for sale. In fact right now it is free to post your house on this web site.
This site is not intended to give advice on how to sell so I would recommend that
you involve a solicitor as soon as you intend to sell. You need to do this now with
the introduction HIPS.
